In 2000, Sunncamp introduced two folding camper models; the Millenium 1000 and the Millenium 2000, being four and six berth models, respectively. They were two of only three folding campers ever produced by the company, and were only produced for that short period, in order to mark (as the name suggests) the new millenium.
Both models came in the distinctive green and yellow external colour scheme and light wood interior. These days, they are pretty few and far between, especially the Millenium 1000.
The Millenium 1000 was a traditional layout, four berth folding camper model, with rear door, kitchen opposite, and dinette seating on either side, behind which was a fixed double bed. The 1000 is slightly different from most 4 berth models in that the kitchen unit protrudes slightly from the front of the unit, as can be seen from the layout diagram in picture 4. The only other folding camper we are aware of with this exact layout is the Pennine Fiesta, and the 1000 was almost identical in layout and specification to the early model Fiestas.
The 1000 came with both 12V and 240V electrics, cold water system, three way refridgerator and cooker, with two burner hob and grill. The awning was 430cm wide x 220cm deep, and came with its own roof liner. Under bed storage was also available.
Due to its very short production period, and low numbers, information and paperwork is pretty scarce on this model. Some of the weights and dimensions have been taken from private adverts selling second hand models, and are not, currently verified by ourselves. If anyone does have any official paperwork, or other information on this model, we would be very pleased to hear from them.
