The Pullman has had a long and distinguished history, second only to that of the Fiesta, and, like the Fiesta, it underwent a number of different transformations (although the basic layout and features have always remained the same). Due to those ongoing changes, the Pullman's specifications have varied slightly, over the years. In the Dimensions and Weights above, there are two figures for most boxes. In each case, the top figure is for the Mark 2 Pullman, and the bottom is for the Mark 3 (and final version). As with all figures in this guide, they are for general information and guidance only.

For the majority of its life, the Pullman was almost identical to the budget Sterling model, and was, simply, a higher spec, and just slightly larger, version of it, however, for the first ten years, the Pullman was a stand alone model, taking over from the Alpine as Pennine's six berth offering, in what was, then, just a two model range.

The images in the Gallery are shown in date order. The first picture is a Mark 1 Pullman. Image two is an early Mark 2, Image three a later Mark 2 and image four an early Mark 3, or, as it then became known, the Pullman 535 (on account of its on site length of 535cm). Image five shows one of the later Pullman models, just prior to cessation of production. The layout shown in the final image remained unchanged throughout the years, as did the overall level of equipment.

The Mark 1 had very distinctive body graphics, but the canvas was more akin to its predecessor, the Alpine. By the time the Mark 2 came out, the canvas style was far closer to the modern models which superceded it. The Mark 2 Pullman was only available in the terracotta canvas colour, and interior trim was, also, completely uniform, at this time. By the time the Mark 3 came out, in 1996, it had taken on the green and white colour scheme of its smaller siblings, the Aztec and Apollo, as well as the soon to be introduced Pathfinder. The final version, the Mark 4, saw the introduction of gas assisted bed struts and 'proper' domestic style mattresses. To check out all of the different colour schemes, both internal and external, take a look at the various sales brochures below.
